   I'm using VBA (part of the Excel program) to generate a checkers program.
(Thought this would be an easier first effort).   To date, it is working
out fine.   Have move generation down.  Optimizing the program to get the
maximum number of ply will be an effort, I am sure.

   The VBA book I use is "Excel 2000 Power Programming with VBA" by
John Walkenbach.
