Hello Thorsten, in this case the version number have not to do with older and newer. Read the message in Arena Support about the two Ruffian versions. Perola created two versions of Ruffian. 2.0.2 Bugfixed version only 2.1.0 Bugfixed version with improvments! It seems that Ruffian 2.0.2 is much stronger as Ruffian 2.1.0 but I have not enough games to say it. After my first test vs. Shredder and 200 of my private positions it seems so. Shredder 8.0 - Ruffian 2.1.0 28.5 : 11.5 (40/40) Shredder 8.0 - Ruffian 2.0.2 6.5 : 11.5 (17/40) Games with 40 moves in 20 minutes with and without ponder (played on two machines). If I look in the games, I see much games in the latest 2 days ... is Ruffian much stronger in the middelgame. I don't know why but in fact ... Ruffian 2.0.2 is stronger. The customers of Ruffian can test it too and I am sure the customers have later the same impressions. Best Frank
