Hi,

here is a 60min-Blitz tournament that my 233MMX computer produced with all
amateur engines for Fritz532. The winner is:

Amateur Champs 1998

                      1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
1 Crafty 16.1 ** 11 00 ½0 11 1½ 11 11 10.0/14
2 Comet A96 00 ** 11 10 ½1 1½ ½1 11 9.5/14
3 The Crazy Bishop 11 00 ** ½1 11 1½ 0½ 1½ 9.0/14
4 Gromit 2.0 ½1 01 ½0 ** ½1 00 ½1 11 8.0/14
5 EXchess 2.51 00 ½0 00 ½0 ** 11 1½ 11 6.5/14
6 Doctor? 3.0 0½ 0½ 0½ 11 00 ** 01 ½1 6.0/14
7 GNUchess 00 ½0 1½ ½0 0½ 10 ** 0½ 4.5/14
8 SSEchess 00 00 0½ 00 00 ½0 1½ ** 2.5/14

Crazy Bishop, Gromit, GNU and SSEchess played as Winboard engines.

So I name Crafty Amateur Champion in the world of my P233.

If one let Fritz create an automatic elo ranking:

1	Crafty 16.1 2497
2	Comet A96 2470
3	The Crazy Bishop	2445
4	Gromit 2.0 2398
5	EXchess 2.51 2331
6	Doctor? 3.0 2307
7	GNUchess 2236
8	SSEchess 2114

I did not gauge it with a reference player but used Fritz automatic suggestion.
Maybe it is 50 point high.

Alois
