Actually, the sign-up page specifically contains this sentence: "If for some reason you cannot use your real name, please contact us at yourmove@icdchess.com before signing up.". I'm pretty sure the person in question here didn't do that before signing up but it doesn't mean that everyone not using his/her realname here is against the charter. (I think karinsdad is someone w/ a good reason and he even was a moderator once :) While I think it would be consistent behaviour to try to enforce the charter (either use your real name or contact icdchess.com w/ a very good reason not to do so) I don't think it would change anything concerning the tone of certain posts here. Afterall it's simply impossible to verify the correctness of the given information. While most people who pester online-forums aren't the brightest of our species, I think they're intelligent enough to use a faked last/firstname which sounds reasonable enough. In case of "Chesster Fritz" it's at least obvious that this is not his real name (at least *I* don't think so ;) so that saves us the thread "Is Tony Jones really your real name!?". IMHO, YMMV Sargon PS. The best would be to simply not react to such postings but I've learned long ago that this never happens in groups of a certain size.
