Hi, Shredder is for me the number one in the World and it's great to have this uci engine for test it against others. Ruffian is very strong too and it's interesting to test Ruffian vs. Shredder. I have a lot of fun to do it and maybe other persons help me a little bit with a test on a third machine ... This have not to do with marketing more with my hobby computer chess. At the moment for me is interesting which version of Ruffian is stronger and it seems that version 2.0.2 is the strongest version. Of course yes I am producer of the Ruffian CD but this is only a hobby from myself ... I like all programs or better I like the amateurs and freeware programs and GUIs. Arena for an example! Booth of my PCs are playing matches Ruffian vs. Shredder to get a better result. Of course we have other programs but for a long time test ... I am sure ... is this match great! Best Frank
