So you would have the option of moving a pawn backwards or capturing with
a pawn backwards, once per game.  That would make the game slightly more
complex, although not much for computers.  I think it would be pretty easy
to add that to a program, as long as the rule was modified to say that this
could only be done with pawns that were not on their starting position.
Most programs have sections that depend on there being no pawns on the
first or eighth rows.  This would certainly do interesting things to the
endgame if you saved the option that late, since the enemy king would
not be able to attack a pawn from the rear so easy.

Amusing idea, but I don't think I'll bother to code it.
