Another thing If you take a position like this at move 52...Qe3+ which was
played by Botvinnik, in order to simulate the actual game in progress you need
to calculate approximately how many seconds per move as an average a computer
take to select Qe3+ using the time control that Botvinnik was using. I would say
that by you analysing that position with shredder 8, your computer came withing
the same range of time that it took Botvinnik to select Qe3+ which was 30
seconds. Assuming that an Athlon 1.2 GHz with Shredder8 could be rated close to
Botvinnik by using the same amount of time that it took him to calculate Qe3+,
it will take your AMD 2GHz probably no more than 20 seconds to select Qe3+.
Therefore, your Analysis with your computer indicated that it would have chosen
Qe3+ too, since it selected Qe3+ from
3 sec to 1:34 seconds.
