My understanding is that the Fritz powerbook is supposed to be a high class opening book. By setting the minimum move played to 4 times, I'd have thought that any 'bad' lines would be avoided, even with maximum variety. And playing 1.g3 shouldn't be seen as an excuse for White being disadvantaged. Still - I guess I won't be able to please everybody! Hopefully, a number of you will still find my tournament of value. Bob - I respect your efforts on behalf of the computer chess community and I respect your program. If it's any consolation, Crafty performs a hell of a lot better on a dual processor machine with ponder on. A friend of mine runs tournaments at 40/120 on such a setup and Crafty has always held it's head high.
