But with this explanation we cann't anything make! Meaning that such a result must have a reason because a lot of persons have totaly other Ruffian results. After positions test-suits its quiet clear for me that Ruffian is stronger with more time (compare to the most other engines). I am not sure so far! Ponder problem or not ... After the Shredder - Ruffian match it seems that can be a reason for the SSDF results! Maybe the bugs which are fixed by Per-Ola. All is not easy and make it not easy to test it. >>In your own tournament Ruffian won in front of Shredder! > >Yes, but that is no contradiction at all. Look at the final standing especially >at the error bars: I know your results and much other results. The tournament of Wilhelm, Patrick, Alex, my tournament much other results by users. Interesting the results by Leo, Leo is playing with ponder = on and the results are not so good too! In a Patriot tourney I played with Ruffian 1.0.5 and Ruffian made after 64 games only place 9 of 16. I added the results in my forum. Here I played with ponder! > Program Elo + - Games Score Av.Op. According to my results Ruffian's "true >rating" could be ~200 points better than Shredder's or ~200 points worst. Sure! If you see only our results alone! If you see much other it's normaly not possible! >More details here: http://www.pittlik.de/fs-twn.html > >Volker Best Frank
