It's mostly the Sober worm with that message. In the header you often can find "received from sober-mailer" as a "nice" pun. Someone infected has you in his or her address book. Do you mind installing virus software on your PC? Now you're not the one sending out these messages, but if you would have been infected, and I might be in your address book, I might get dozens of complaints because people receiving "virus mail from me", which in fact originated from your address book. Or as worse as that, I'd receive a dozen of infected mails myself from you when you're infected, and although it's a nuisance dealt with by my provider, my anti-spam software and my AV-software, it _remains_ a nuisance. There are many freeware AV-scanners, like AntiVir, (http://www.free-av.com)also coming with a resident guard program or others; free, updated every day, and a lot to care less, not only for you, but for me as well. Thanks. And when you're busy doing that, think about a firewall. ZoneAlarm has a free version as well and is excellent protection for both inbound probes and outgoing jokes like unauthorized sending of mail by viruses. http://www.zonelabs.com J.
