I have an Hp Pavilion that I upgraded. I don't recommend it. You will need a
new Motherboard/CPU combo and a new power supply since the HP's just get by with
what is necessary. The only thing you can keep is the case and the connectors
from the front panel switches do not match most motherboards easily. So the
bottom line is ... about the only thing you can keep is the disk drives and the
CD is already dead. Personally I would trash it and get something new.
