Hi all I find that the Shredder products are by far the best among the chessbase products. I also appreciate the efforts of the Fritz team who delivers new updates regularly, but also the commercial positions of Junior and Hiarcs who give us more than one engine in the same CD. I hope that for the next time Shredder will follow the same road. I talk again about Shredder for which i dedicated the major part of my laisure time and succeed to develop many many settings for it (from the version 6.0 to the 7.04). I also focused on Shredder8. It's a really fantastic and very strong program. It made many improvements in its play especially in Blitz Time Controls (he became one of the best), but he still looses regularly against the Fritz engines (the best Blitz program in the world i.m.h.o). This made me seek to improve Shredder 8 as i made with the other previous versions and i succeed in it. I've got now at least two strong different settings in Blitz and Rapid Time Controls. I haen't tested them in Classic Time Control thourougly but it seems that at least one setting is doing well. When i see some bugs on the Shredder 8 engine like the Bug concerning the errouneous number of moves to mate but also as posted previously by a friend the bug concernig the managment of the Hash Tables, i'm waiting for the next update to fix these bugs but also to improve more the play of Shredder which i suppose will be the first program to reach 2835 ELO points after learning through more than 500 games in the SSDF tournaments.
