Some time ago I noticed efforts to start a North American CC organisation called NACCA, which I find interesting across the Atlantic even so to speak :-). I thought, it could create new standards for computerchess competitions, care for more participation of North American chess programmers in big events etc. The web pages look good so far, but I noticed latest update was 2003.12.10, and there seems to be no specific NACCA url etc. yet... So I'm curious if that project is continued. http://homepage.mac.com/chessnotation/ Regards, Mike Scheidl P.S.: Something interesting turned up at Google when I was trying to see if NACCA is found: Althogh these are 5 letters, IOW a quite "long" abbrevation, there is a number of organisations already which use the same: National Aboriginal Capital Corporation Association North America Christian Creative Association National Association of Consumer Credit Administrators National Check Cashers Association National Advisory Council on Consumer Affairs National Cabin Crew Association (list probably incomplete) In addition to that, Nacca seems to be a frequent christian name of persons and a house style music band. :-)
