The results of the CSS rating list, 10m+10s, currently show a difference of 18
Elo points between Shredder 8 and 7.04. These test games are played using a
standardized set of (short) opening variants. I think both Shredders have played
against almost the same opponents (S8 520 games and S.704 560 games):

(In 2m+2s blitz, S7.04 ranks 19 elo better than S8)

For the BfF ratings, games are played at time controls between 10...60 min./game
on P3/1500 or equivalent, and with various opening sets too. There, Shredder 8
(790 games) has 19 Elo points more than 7.04 (3878 games!):

In the WM-Test suite consisting of 100 positions to be solved in 20 minutes
each, Shredder 8 (UCI) solved 71, and Shredder 7.04 (UCI) solved 64. Btw. Gambit
style settings of both are ranking very good in the results of that test.
