NAT alone is not enough. I also have a OpenBSD firewall. OpenBSD is good but
like any OS, you have to keep it patched. There was a remote root exploit in
OpenBSD a while back.

And none of this protects against viruses. If you click an attachment and don't
have virus protection, it can run amok on your LAN.
