I have used both - I prefer PocketPC - but the Palm OS is very functional and there is nothing wrong with it - but for what I do,I liek the PPC better. The newer Pocket PCs and Palms are very fast for handheld. You can buy a low cost slower Palm B&W for about $70 and paired with Chess Tiger, it will be a very formindable opponent for most chess players. Mike
