We all know that wherever there is computer and man matches there will be great followers;therefore, the Linares should include the two best programs, shuch as Shredder 8 and Junior8 or newer version each year, but the best human will still win the match regardless if Shredder or Junior take first each year. I would almost guarantee that the human players without pressure from winning the event will perform better and probably end up in first and second each year. By including the two best programs each year we can compare the progress and increase strength of the programs and this will give us a better indication of where the two best programs stand in comparison to the elite world chess players. Since the Programs will only be there to create more pressure to the humans, and for us to compare their progress, the first place would be given to Kasparov and second to Kramnik as if the programs were not participating at all. Now because the inclusion of the programs, the result could be different in the sense tha the programs would not offer an early draw unless it see no other way around. The final result could be like this: 1 Shredder 8 2 Kasparov,G 3 Junior 8 4 Kramnik,V 5 Leko,P 6 Shirov,A 7 Topalov,V 8 Vallejo Pons,F I doubt that the programs will share first place all the times, but it would make the prize for the humans more lucrative if the sponsor of the programs such as chessbase would donate 5,000 for each program to participate and to be added to the total prize sum of the humans players.
