With all the small tournaments here I am wondering if people have been using virii protection on their computers? Do they turn the protection off while the games are going? Do they have none at all? The reason I ask is I have recieved emails from people here at the CCC that I speak to via email, that are infected with email worms. I have emailed those specific individuals giving them a heads up to remove whatever worm they are infected with and a link to the correct virus removal tool from the Symantec website. I have seen other posts that state if one is using a Chessbase product to turn off the virus protection as it slows everything down horribly. I am just wondering the reasons one should run a virii program, and when one turn it off.. obviously some people are not to clear. Peter PS. I have been slowly making the conversion to Linux as I dual boot. I find myself in Debian more and more as the amount of exploits for Windows is getting out of hand.
