I strongly doubt that there is so much tweeking in the books that is really specific to the engine, therefore a new book is no way a handicap, rather an advantage since the new moves it contains by far outweight the fact that the engine would rather not play some of the lines it finds in it. On top of that, if to get statistical relevance in chess requires a lot of games, to get the statistical relevance of the use of a book with some lines an engine does not like looks like almost ipossible. my 2c Franz
