ok, let's borrow one of the epd-lines from Jon Dart from another post in this thread. r3rb1k/1b3pp1/3p2qp/p2P1N2/Pp1Qn3/4RN1P/1P3PP1/R1B3K1 w - - am Nxh6; id "arasan4.4"; Here you can find "am Nxh6" that means "Avoid the move Nxh6" in order to score this position as solved. In Arena there is an "Analyze epd-file" function where the program gets a certain time to analyze each epd-position in the file and afterwards a report is produced telling me how many positions were solved. Arena 1.0 didn't understand the am tag but Martin Blume said it will be solved later on. That's why I asked! I will ask in the Arena Forum again. /Peter On March 01, 2004 at 05:54:28, Frank Quisinsky wrote: >On February 29, 2004 at 14:19:21, Peter Fendrich wrote: > >>Hi Frank, >>will Arena handle "am moves" in the "Analyze epd-file"-function these days? >>/Peter > >Hi Peter, > >I don't know exactly what you mean! >Maybe you can ask in Arena Support Forum? > >Best >Frank > >> >> >>On February 29, 2004 at 07:48:47, Frank Quisinsky wrote: >> >>>Hi, >>> >>>very interesting are the personal favorite test poistions by the programmers. >>>From time to time I asked programmers for his personal favorits but maybe we can >>>start a little collection. >>> >>>If every porgrammer add the top five favorite positions in this forum we have >>>maybe 2.000 interesting test positions :-) >>> >>>200 or more would be great! >>>As EPD file and all is perfect! >>> >>>If the programmers have interest I will collect the positions and will add the >>>positions in Arena Setup files. >>> >>>THANKS! >>> >>>Best >>>Frank
