I had the pleasure of playing the following rook sac in a blitz game a short
while ago. Since it turned out to be correct, I submit it to the engine fiends.
It resists some engines a bit on my old hardware, so it might make an
interesting addition to some test suite.
[D]r2r2k1/ppq1bp2/2p1pnpB/8/1PP5/P1N3RP/2P1QPP1/4R1K1 w - -
The key move is (rather obvious for a human though it needs to be worked out)
1.Rxg6! followed by fxg6 2.Qxe6+ Kh7 3.Qf7+ Kxh6 4.Rxe7 Qd6 5.Qg7+ followed by
the knight joining in.
In the game my opponent dropped the knight with 4...Qc8 and resigned.
