They do have some notable differences, but not in chess engine strenght
or book content differences, I believe. The Cosmos' chessboard is better
designed in the fact that light is much less reflected on it. That was
a well-needed improvement over the TC2100's chessboard. The Cosmos also
offers more levels of play, among which are eight "special" levels labelled
"auto-adjustable". According to Cosmos' user manuel, these levels
target beginners and novice players and are supposed to adjust the
playing strenght of the machine on that of the player.
Could you try them and evaluate if that claim is true?
