I think those that go in person would prefer to play in person, after all that is probably why they went in person in the first place. >If you're worried about cheating then why not some people in person in >Israel, some people in person at a designated physical location in America, some >games played over the Internet between the two designated physical sites, some >played face to face at a given site, maybe all actually played over the internet >to hopefully reduce the chances of operator interference. Not a realistic alternative IMO, you are just replacing one expensive and complicated model with another expensive and complicated model. I think the WCCC should have the same format as the CCT's. It's well tested so we know it works, we know it is very popular, we know it is fun to participate in and fun to observe, so why try and fix what ain't broken? What we have right now is like a third model with effectively two championships. The official ICGA and the unofficial ICC championship. I don't think it is necessary to actively work against ICGA and try and change things by force. I think we should just leave it to people to decide which one is the more important and then let natural evolution run its course. I would however find it interesting if a match between the winners could be arranged :-) -S. >-Keith
