It is not obvious that a selective searcher plays better at longer time controls A selective searcher may miss a simple tactical idea at every time control if it does not select the right moves. Does chessmaster consider everything if I give it enough time? I know that Fritz5 does not do it and there are studies that it cannot solve at every time control because it does not analyze moves with no threat.
