Subject: Best table-top chess computer

I train and play against CM9k and Fritz 8 but my wife complains that I spend too
much time in isolation and I want to get a dedicated chess computer (at least I
will be in the same room if not in the same reality!).

I am aware of Excaliburs Grandmaster model and Saiteks Master Model.

Can anyone suggest the better machine or some alternative that wont break the
bank!
