Subject: Some thought on SSDF and actual performance

Author: Gustavo Pereira

There has always been great controversy on SSDF. Of course things can always be
improved, and there might be some 'fishy' stuff. However, if you take a quick
look at the list, and check it against the results in Paderborn or other
tournaments...

Surprise!!
The top programs in the list consistently win

Are they employing 'tricks' (as Vincent Diepeeven says)?
Are they forcing the other engines to use 1Mb of RAM?

Come on...
Apparently, for Vincent, if you can't beat them, make them look bad...

Nassty Chessbases, we hates them, they won't let us have our preciousss
prizesss. Even if we uses 200 processorss. They tricked uss, yess. Nassty, we
hates them. Gollum, gollum, diep, diep :)
