Hi Bob,

I'm not a expert of GUIs, but I expect a Chess user interface to ba able to run
on _any_ video card avaible theses days.

You see no need to have a big video card for chess interface unless you use 3d
boards (but I think 3d boards sucks when it's time to play chess on a screen).

So if you use interface like winboard or arena you will see no benefits from
your video card, but if you use something like Chessmaster with 3d boards, you
will probably see a better rendering and a good video card will be able to do
more job by itself leaving your CPU doing what it is the best at ... play chess
