Truly, it does appear that something is wrong.  There is not THAT much
difference between Fritz and Shredder on my single processor machine.

Perhaps there is yet another bug in Shredder!  Maybe Shredder only uses one
processor, or maybe Shredder becomes "confused" by the presence of the other
processor.

I don't think it's fair to hand wave this away as "just one of those things."
