Hi, I know SSDF people since 1987. It is true that this is their hobby, like to make a openings book for a chess program (since 2000 for Shredder) is mine, so I undestand how they do it. They do their best to give reliable data without favoring any program and checking the games before recording the score. This is how they always did. They never asked money or hardware to anyone. This is what I know. They only ask to get the chess program without buying it. 2 or 3 copies to speed up the testing. I not always agreed with their way to make the testing, but I can personally assure everybody that what they did and do is to get the best reliable data they can based on their experience. Maybe it is possible to improve something, but to state that they are cheating is highly unfair. Who knows me knows that I do understand and accept, of course, that other people may have different opinions or ideas, but we must be honest and admit the huge and important work they have been and are doing for all chess programs funs. So, I believe that everybody should thanks them and not criticize them. Regards, Sandro
