When someone has a big attack, I usually try to find an equal counter attack.
For instance on the rook sac game a few posts below, the b4 move by black is
what I would play. It's not the best move, I think, but I would play it. The
reason is that I will get a gateway to slide my rooks and also my queen down the
a-file. Then I could cause havoc of my own.
In that one, it is also very obvious not to take the rook. As a human player, I
would not have to think two seconds to see that it would be death to take it
with either the pawn or the bishop.
