I think in this position the problem is the pinned bishop, the open g-file
(threat of Rg3) and limited possibilities for black to resolve that pin (takes
time).
I altered the position a little by moving the bishop to g7 and the king to g6.
It looks like that would be a winning position for black. I don't have a fast
machine here, but initial search by the Baron on a P3-500 gives +3.3 after 20
minutes:
