Subject: Elo and Draws on playchess.com

A short question:

normally Elo gives you more points for a draw if you got the draw against a
stronger player, but on playchess.com it is the other way. I got a draw against
a player with 100 Elo points more. This is what happened: he got 11 points more
for the draw and I got only 6 points more. Sysop said that Elo is automatic.
Then he added  the other player probably had played MORE games in the past,
after that the score would stabilize...

Could someone clarify the question? Thanks.
