Well, Par Excellence is zillions times better machines than those first that
refused to accept they were mated. PE plays at a par with me, so it is not a cae
of milking a cow, as much half of the time is my milk the one flowing...
Yes, nostalgy, but also the capability to face an equal opponent. I just became
titred ot being beaten by 2300+ programs.
I will tell you more. One reason I never got to be better than a 2100 player or
so is that I have NEVER tried to memorize a win in order to repeat it. For the
same reason I have NEVER learned at heart any opoenning. I like to be thinking
from scratch from he very first second. So, I have NEVER tried to get a method
to win the machine as a matter of fact. Each time I play a game I like to feel
as it is the very fist time I play chess.
Weird?
Perhaps, but pleasurable.
