Well, Par Excellence is zillions times better machines than those first that refused to accept they were mated. PE plays at a par with me, so it is not a cae of milking a cow, as much half of the time is my milk the one flowing... Yes, nostalgy, but also the capability to face an equal opponent. I just became titred ot being beaten by 2300+ programs. I will tell you more. One reason I never got to be better than a 2100 player or so is that I have NEVER tried to memorize a win in order to repeat it. For the same reason I have NEVER learned at heart any opoenning. I like to be thinking from scratch from he very first second. So, I have NEVER tried to get a method to win the machine as a matter of fact. Each time I play a game I like to feel as it is the very fist time I play chess. Weird? Perhaps, but pleasurable. My best Fernando
