Subject: Great big perferred move EPD file

Author: Dann Corbit

Date: 22:21:17 03/11/04

This is a preferred move file of mostly quiet moves:
ftp://cap.connx.com/chess-engines/new-approach/preferred7.epd.bz2

The moves are taken from super GM games (2650 Elo and above both sides) and from
correspondence games between highly rated players, along with SSDF games.

In the position below, the values after the parenthesis indicate how often a
move was played.
For instance, Ne7(20) indicates that Ne7 was played 20 times.
And c5(213) indicates that c5 was played 213 times.

[D]rnbqk1nr/ppp2ppp/4p3/3pP3/1b1P4/2N5/PPP2PPP/R1BQKBNR b KQkq - c0 "Ne7(20)
Qd7(3) b6(2) c5(213)"; pm Ne7 Qd7 b6 c5;

If any move was played only once, it went into this file. If any move had more
than one choice made by the players, it went into this file.
