Wanted to add, that I hear Chessmaster 9000 has or is in the process of being ported to OS X and should be out this month. While CM is a nice GUI, for me the best benefit of it over previous versions is that it's xboard compatible so you can run other engines. A quick google search brought this up, so it appears to already be out. http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?productLearnMore=T7440LL/A This is probably your best bet for a commercial engine for Mac. All depends on what your want though, I wouldnt give up xboard + crafty ;) Sincerely, Joshua Shriver On March 13, 2004 at 06:05:31, francis wrote: >which program(s) can do this? >fritz? shredder? hiarcs? ....? > >wanting to get useful feedback suitable for a human rated 1500ish to use to >improve their play.
