Now strangely the composition window glitch has disappeared. It doesn't happen now. But it was happening for several days prior. A mystery. I suppose it depends on the weather, or some other seemingly irrelevant factor. The difference now is that, as I'm typing and reach the end of a line, I'm sometimes seeing a brief shift of the entire composition window to the left, but it self-corrects quickly and no slider bar appears at the bottom of the window. So apparently some code is being invoked that is very lazy about being activated, and occasionally fails to activate. Reason unknown. WP
