My final results from the Ruffian 2 test are available now on my homepage. Played on 2 PCs with permanent brain, g/60. What I saw first was this game here, as I planned to interrupt the game and adjust as draw (because both programs showed 0.00 for several moves): Hiarcs 9 - Ruffian 2.1.0 [E11] Ruffian-Test (22) 1.d4 Sf6 2.c4 e6 3.Sf3 Lb4+ 4.Ld2 c5 5.Lxb4 cxb4 6.e3 0-0 7.Ld3 d6 8.Sbd2 Sc6 9.0-0 Ld7 10.Db3 De7 11.Sg5 d5 12.Tfc1 Tac8 13.Dd1 Tc7 14.Dc2 h6 15.Sh7 dxc4 16.Sxf6+ Dxf6 17.Dxc4 Tfc8 18.Se4 Dd8 19.Td1 Le8 20.Db3 a5 21.h3 Kh8 22.a3 Ta8 23.Tac1 Tac8 24.Lb5 b6 25.Ta1 De7 26.a4 Ld7 27.La6 Ta8 28.Dc4 Taa7 29.Dd3 Sb8 30.Lb5 Tc8 31.Tdc1 Tac7 32.Txc7 Txc7 33.Td1 Kg8 34.b3 Lxb5 35.Dxb5 Sd7 36.Df1 Sf6 37.Sxf6+ Dxf6 38.Tc1 Txc1 39.Dxc1 Df5 40.Dd1 De4 41.Kh2 Kf8 42.Dc1 Db7 43.Dc4 Ke7 44.Kg1 g6 45.f3 Kd6 46.Kf2 Dc6 47.Dd3 Ke7 48.e4 Dc1 49.De2 Dc3 50.Dd1 f5 51.h4 Kd6 52.g4 h5 53.d5 fxe4 54.dxe6+ Kxe6 55.fxe4 Df6+ 56.Kg2 Dxh4 57.Dd5+ Ke7 58.Db7+ Kf8 59.Dc8+ Kf7 60.Dc4+ Kf6 61.Dd4+ Kg5 62.Dd2+ Kxg4 63.De3 De1 64.Dxe1 Kg5 65.e5 Kf4 66.e6 h4 67.e7 h3+ 68.Kxh3 g5 69.e8D g4+ 70.Kh4 Kf3 71.D8e4# 1-0 [D]8/8/1p3kp1/p6p/Pp1QP1Pq/1P6/6K1/8 b - - 0 61 Ruffian played 61...Kg5?? from the permanent brain with 0.00, whereafter Hiarcs eval jumped from 0.00 to +8 / +9. Right after 62.Qd2+ Ruffian realized the dilemma. The second interesting game: [D]r3r2k/p2b2pp/5n2/3ppp2/2q5/Q1N2PPN/PP4BP/3RR2K b - - 0 25 Ruffian just played 25.Qa3 with an eval of +3.01. Also Shredder saw Ruffian approx. in this dimension in advantage. Why Shredder could even win this game might be worth some analysis. Here is the complete game: Ruffian 2.1.0 - Shredder 8 [A21] Ruffian-Test (21) 1.c4 e5 2.Sc3 d6 3.Sf3 f5 4.d4 e4 5.Sg5 Le7 6.Sh3 Sf6 7.g3 c6 8.Lg2 Sbd7 9.d5 Se5 10.Db3 0-0 11.0-0 Kh8 12.Lf4 Da5 13.Tad1 Sfg4 14.f3 Dc5+ 15.Kh1 exf3 16.exf3 Sf6 17.Tfe1 Ld7 18.Dxb7 Tfb8 19.Da6 Tb4 20.Le3 Dxc4 21.Da3 Tbb8 22.Ld4 cxd5 23.Lxe5 dxe5 24.Dxe7 Te8 25.Da3 Tab8 26.Tc1 Db4 27.Dxa7 d4 28.Sd5 Sxd5 29.Dxd7 Se3 30.Te2 Ted8 31.Df7 Db5 32.Tc7 Tg8 33.Sg1 Db6 34.Te7 Dc5 35.Lh3 d3 36.Td2 Tbf8 37.De6 Tf6 38.Dd7 Td6 39.Da4 Td4 40.De8 Dc1 41.Df7 Sd5 42.Txe5 Dxd2 43.Txd5 Tc4 44.Txd3 Dxd3 45.Lxf5 Dd4 46.Lxh7 Td8 47.Dh5 Tc6 48.Lg6+ Kg8 49.Lf7+ Kf8 50.Lb3 Df6 51.Da5 g5 52.Db4+ Kg7 53.De1 Tcd6 54.Lc2 Td2 55.De4 Kf8 56.Db4+ T8d6 57.Db8+ Kg7 58.Dc7+ Td7 59.Dc5 g4 60.f4 T7d6 61.a4 Tc6 62.Da7+ Df7 63.Dxf7+ Kxf7 64.Lf5 Txb2 65.a5 Tc1 66.Lxg4 Tbb1 67.Kg2 Txg1+ 68.Kf2 Tbf1+ 69.Ke3 Tg2 70.a6 Txh2 71.Ld7 Ta1 72.Lb5 Tb2 73.Lc4+ Kf6 74.g4 Ta3+ 75.Ld3 Tbb3 76.g5+ Kf7 77.Kd4 Txd3+ 78.Ke4 Tdb3 79.f5 Ta4+ 80.Kd5 Tb5+ 81.Kc6 Txf5 82.Kb7 Tb4+ 83.Kc6 Ke7 84.g6 Tbb5 85.Kc7 Tfc5# 0-1 www.harald-faber.de
