I do not agree with the last claim that Genius was somewhat unlucky.

I understood that Genius could score better in the game that it lost with more
time but I guess that movei also could score better in the games that it lost
with more time.


Saying that Genius was unlucky means that you believe that the expected result
of Genius should be more than 6.5-1.5 if you repeat the match.

Genius was of course better but I do not think that the expected result of
Genius2 is more than 6.5-1.5 in 8 games even against that old version of movei.

6.5-1.5 is more than 80% and I remember that Yace scored only 80% against older
weaker version of movei in your tests(the first version that beated gnu chess).

Yes


I suspect that movei missed a win somewhere but I could not find it in a short
analysis.

Maybe capturing with the bishop at f6 could be better because of the idea Rh8#
but I did not see how to use that idea to win the game.
