there is no nexus between cb and ruffian that i am aware of, so i think that you
misunderstood something. while it is possible to use the uci or winboard form of
ruffian 2 inside of cb, this engine is published by another company.

regarding core of your question, the linux/osx engine of ruffian2 is a 'bonus
engine' for the win distribution. i might infer that it is not supported as an
indivuduated commercial product. but you might ask the ruffian publisher--
www.lokasoft.nl he has a forum there but he is also kind enough to post here.
