Interesting question.  I didn't now that Purple Soft were bankrupt, and I have
absolutely no idea how this changes the legal situation.  Is there anybody here
who knows something about who owns the rights in such situations?

I'm relieved to hear that you still have the source code, and I hope you will
never delete it or lose it (you have a backup, I hope?).  If the legal problems
can be solved, do you think Chris has any objections to letting somebody modify
the source code to make a Winboard version, or even continue the development?
