In general Xeons and P4 have an efficiency of 70% in comparison to AMD Athlon for chess, thus 3 GHz Xeon are equal to 2.1 GHz AMD Athlon. With Hyperthreading you may be able to boost your knps but I don't think that you get greater depths or increased strength. regards Joachim
