..who gave me the idea of using an evaluation cache. I do it a bit differently than you described it. I only check the cache after lazyeval cutoffs, and only for the side to move. This gave me a small NPS increase, about 5-10%. Cheplas evaluation is simple, and checking the cache before lazy eval for one or both sides was slower. /Mikael
