That part of my engine is very old (something like four or five years, I guess), and I no longer clearly remember. It is likely, however, that my book code most closely resemble the code in Phalanx, because that was the open-source engine which I was most familiar with at the time. There are also a few other "Phalanxisms" in my code. For instance, I use exactly the same kind of piece lists (except that in Gothmog, the board and the piece lists are stuffed into a single struct).
