It appears after all your work, you seem to suggest this. Actually, I agree with both of your statements. Looking at some of the intermediate boards, I would rather play after the Rxe6 exchange. Doubled pawns and open lanes make for a nice attacking game. But for a computer, either move seems equally good. I think for human players, the Rook move is probably the better move. There is greater danger of immediate slaughter if you don't make every response just right. For computers, the Queen move seems slightly stronger. But deeper analysis may show that Rxe6 was better after all. I am satisfied that there is an alternative solution. [snip]
