i am using an opteron 146, which is a different core but also amd64.
which chess programs cause you trouble and how?
i wonder if you need to update  the fritz gui for your set-up, eg.
also why chose xp-home, instead of trialware xp-for-amd64 or xp-pro? could
changing your OS help?
also which chipset is on your mob? do you have the most current drivers for it
from the web?
