Mike,

I have been using an opening book constructed like that for some time with
Shredder 7.04 Classic on a P3 1000 mhz machine. It consists of about 44,000
computer games of the highest quality programs (from members here and 21,000 ICC
games) appended with the well known games accumulated by past and present
Grandmaster games both rated over 2600 (about 880,000 book moves total and
52mb). No bullet games faster than 10 6, no draws and no games less than 21
moves. There are 24 games in the book with an "error" in them and I can't
isolate them even with SCID. I have cultivated this book carefully according to
the extent of my skills with computer chess play which is probably average.

To answer your question, no, it's not a "computer killer" by any means and I
don't think one could be created that warranted a monicker of "computer killer."
You still can't beat speed and power which I certainly lack. It holds it's own
with the hot AMDs and dual P4s but I am certainly much less than 50 % against
them. If you would like to have it let me know in this forum and I'll set up an
FTP URL for you or anyone else that wants it. It could be very interesting on a
much more powerful or dual/quad machine, I don't know...... Be advised it's in
Shredder Classic 7.04 format only: .bkt file extension.
