Hello

I sent an email at the start of the month to Tom Kerrigan explaining that Waster
was derived originally from TSCP, I mentioned that the evaluation function was
still quite similar to TSCP and checking that he was happy for Waster to
continue being used in tournaments such as Leo's, etc

I received a reply today which said
"I would like you to stop competing until you create your own evaluation
function for Waster".

I was suprised by this reply, but I will comply with Tom's request. So could
anyone that is using Waster for their own use or in Tournaments please remove it
and delete from disk. Thank you.

I think I could have quite justifiably argued that Waster was changed enough to
be considered an original work but I cannot be bothered going through both
listings trying to define how similar or different it is.
This raises the perennial question of how the hell you define this, I simpy dont
know the answer to that. The fact that Waster beat TSCP 100-0-0 in my last test
apparently doesn't make it different enough.

Apologies for messing up anyone's tournaments that are currently in progress,
and not complete, it wasn't intentional. At least Leo's one was completed before
I received the email.

Think I will take up flight simming again, it was less time consuming and
certainly less hassle.

          Regards Geoff
