I could reproduce the problem - at least once :).

The problem is definitely not in the autoplayer as the games were played
manually. It could be in movei's WinBoard code, and it might be the most likely
culprit.

If I try to derive a pattern from two games only - think of the following
scenario: games played manually, movei loses a game (learning updates the book).
Next time WinBoard gets started with movei and another manual game is played
with same colours - will the moves of the updated book be transported to
WinBoard and played correctly?
