I always had the same, or similar impression when using my Tasc Board once in a while. I think I play better, or at least more careful then. Also, it has a "refereshing" effect as somebody already mentioned (I learned chess in the pre-software era). I think it is related with the fact that you have to move a real physical object, which is different from just a few mouse clicks, in a very "low level" sense of how the brain works :-)) (I wonder if that effect is bigger with garden chess pieces, which I didn't use yet.)
