Today are the best amateurs not better as the best commercial programs. Shredder is very very strong, the others stand a little bit and the amateurs are stronger and stronger. Maybe in two years? I believe ELChinito 3.30 comes in the next days and I am very interest to see the new version of ELChinito! Eugenio and Pascal in a team have a lot of potential. The Patriot programmer with his ideas, Gothmog is very strong, Thinker too and I am sure the programmer of Green Light Chess ... List, Aristarch, of course Ruffian. Delfi Trainer (very very strong) ... X interesting programs and in 2-3 years are the amateurs on the same popular level as professional programs, this is not a secret because with the work from amateurs the users are sitting on the first position and can look live with all the comments by amateur programmers.
